I loved this grater when it arrived. Sleek attractive design. It felt sturdy. The vegie holder is safe for hands. The height is perfect for fitting over the lip of larger bowls. Small footprint, doesn't take up too much counter space.But it has a fatal design flaw. Where the plastic cone that holds the metal grater cone connects to the motor unit, all that holds it is a flimsy plastic ring with a teeny ledge. I don't know if the one we got already had a crack that wasn't obvious but the plastic ring broke before we even had a chance to use it, just from putting the plastic cone and grater on to the motor unit.Very disappointed because this product has many good features, and having 5 grating options is awesome. I wish I could get the exact same product, but with a metal connecting ring, something that will last, not break right out of the box.I sent it back. No point in asking for a replacement because a design flaw can't be fixed by swapping the product. Don't know if I'll be buying another. Reviews for most electric graters said they couldn't grate carrots. I need something that can handle carrots and potatoes.I've used the ~$1 Mouli rotary grater for more than half a century, and have found the presto salad shooter to be worth the extra cost. I had hoped the Homdox would address the salad shooters big weakness: fragile rotary toolhead plastic. And... It does! The rotary toolhead angle is steeper than that of the salad shooter, and it looks to be a tougher plastic. Unfortunately, product suffers from a fragile toolhead retention clip. The retention clip on my unit broke in the first month of use. It is removable, so maybe a spare would be a good thing to add to the product as sold.This is a very good product for the price. It works very well. BUT PRODUCT SUPPORT SUCKS. There is a small part that mechanically connects the drive motor and the rotating cutters. We accidently lost that part and I have been trying to get Quiotiy to SELL me a replacement part. However they deal with messages seems to be very unthinking because they continuously keep telling me about warranty and the fact that mine has expired. I am not trying to get a free part; I want to purchase them. I have never gotten any message from them that leads me to think they understand that I want to purchase. The also say try locally. However, that did not work out as I tried in my small community. Apparently, they cannot understand my simple request because they have never in several emails actually admitted to being unable to sell a part or refer me to someone who does.Works as it shouldIt doesn't do what I thought it would. I was looking for something that would create zoodles I thought this was it but when I got it there wasn't anything that I could put on the machine to make zoodles. I kept it because I tested each of the attachments in trying to find one that would make the zoodles I only found one that would make the zoodles but they are only like 1 inch long. So because everything had been used I decided I couldn't return it.It does great for what I usually use it for: Shredding cheese (which I do a lot). Making bread crumbs. (Can’t find gf bread crumbs that i like). It’s a lot like using my large food processor but less bulky, easier to clean and I think it works better for some things although the motor isn’t as powerful as the food processor. I wouldn’t recommend for finely grating Parmesan or chopping nuts. It strains the motor but i prefer shredded Parmesan anyhow and it works fine for that. It also doesn’t work real well for some veggies like celery. I’ve had mixed experiences with things like carrots and cabbage.Amazing how easy it is to make salads up ahead of time. Ne prend pas bcp d'espace autant de hauteur que de largeur, elle rendre dans mes tiroirs sans être couché. Facile a nettoyer et à utiliser. Toutefois, faite attention si certains morceaux coinces toujours débranché le fil avant de les enlevés car, le bouton est sensible et facile à accrocher. Le bruit est un peu dérangent mais, je suis relativement satisfaite car, je cherchais depuis quelque temps une machine non manuelle pour mon utilisation et qui n'est pas encombrante.Everything else is not bad, but the blades came dull. Couldn't cut anything. Pieces kept getting stuck in the little crevices between the blades and and the plastic part, causing it to jam a lot. Returning it.
