Installation and control directions were very clear. We only needed it for the ambiance and will not be using it for the heat. The remote directions and set up instructions were clear and accurate.Good LED light flame pattern, multiple flame colors looks great with glass crystal embers compared to optional log set.Very happyA relative of ours received one of these at Christmas and I told my hubby that I had to have one !We have a small sunroom that I practically live in and wanted this fireplace for that room to enjoy in the winter. It was easy to assemble and since we are setting it on the floor, we did not have to worry about the parts for insert or mounting.I appreciate that the heat can be at a set at a temperature or just at a low vs high setting.My sunroom is only 170 square feet and we cannot turn the heat past 66 degrees or we are sweating!My only issue is that I wish the remote control came with directions...took me a couple of days to figure out the different buttons.If you love to look at a fireplace but do not have the option of a real one in your home ,this is for you.Highly recommend !We have really enjoyed this insert! What an easy way to hide a smutty gaping fireplace we never used. We enjoy the array of colors of flames that can be selected and the choice of “logs” or stones. We live in FL, so we haven’t needed the heating feature, so I can’t really rate that. On the down side, the power cord needs to be at least a foot longer.I love the fireplace insert. It fit perfect in the space we had. It has some beautiful color choices, but I was a little disappointed there wasn't a red or a red/orange combination like a real fire would be. I gave it 4 stars because of that.
