I received the pump quickly and was eager to install it. Got then entire transmission cooler set up and went to fire up the pump and nothing. Checked the voltage- was fine, still the pump would not start. I reversed the polarity and the pump did run. Put it back and then it worked. Unfortunately it's super loud. It's rough sounding even when pumping ATF. I'm working with Mocal's customer service now to determine the cause of the noise. They believe the pump may have been dropped at some point damaging the gears. Not very impressed with this pump yet.Update: Mocal had me send the pump directly to them for service. They replaced the gears, polished the pumphead, and tested the pump for hours. They agree that it was probably dropped at one point. It only cost me shipping to Mocal to have it repaired. Pump works great, but is not quiet. Quieter than a diaphragm pump, but not quiet. Luckily the car is loud and you can barely hear it in the cabin.
