Good for steaming any foodsArrive 2 days late from supposedly arrival date but didn’t open it until yesterday 6/25/2022 . It’s light weight that it easy to topple down . I have to boil water before using it and not easy to push in the electric cord . It is not steady to keep in place in a smooth counter . I would like to returnLove it! Great for quick easy meals!I travel frequently for work and like to have a sandwich or a soup or even a light meal sometimes in the evenings rather than always fast food or restaurant dining. It can be easier to stop at Whotle Foods buy a week's worth of supplies and have them in the room fridge. So I've bought the George Foreman grill, another sall press grill, a larger panini grill and lastly a semi-crockpot that was twice the height of this one but for more heat options prone to burning things too fast.I searched and found this one--a combination pan/grill/pot. And so far I love it. I've made chicken noodle soup from scratch, Mongolian beef stir fry, scrambled eggs, sausages, a pork paella, sauteed chicken, rice, mashed potatoes, a sweet potato butternut squash mix (I bought the butternut squash, cranberry, onions from Whole Foods wasn't excited abotu it alone, added candied yams and viola a side dish with sweetness and a nice depth plus bvery healthy.)I highly recommend you get this. The only drawback which it makes up for in being easy to clean--one basic pot, lid, steamer tray (whcih I'll use for fish and lobster and mussels--plus teh small bowl, ladle, wok wood stirrer, and metal chopsticks---is that it has two heat settings--Low & High. But with a little oil, a little butter, it doesn't go to burning hot super fast so you can regulate it, let things simmer on low, get a nice char on high.I like it so much (I got the 3.6L), I may get teh smaller one to accompany and stack inside in my travel bag so that I can make rices, potatoes, stor fry side dishes even faster.Excellent product, when I wear this one out in 3-6 months, I'll definitely replace it with another.The product is extremely easy to clean. Put the steam tray, lid, and utensils in dishwasher, and hand wash base. I've used it several times including to steam fish.I've used it 2 times so far since I've gotten it, and like other people mentioned it heats up fast. I've used it for making sticky white rice, my only complaint so far is that I have to slant the lid, to keep it from boiling over as I make the rice. Also I tend to under cook the white rice as I don't want the rice to burn to the bottom as it doesn't cook evenly all the way through as I mentioned due to having to keep the lid askew so it doesn't boil over and make a mess all over the sides. The container itself is not metal and cleaning is a little tricky as you don't want to submerge the pot to clean it. So that being said though, it does the job and the cute animation face on the side is enjoyable. Over all user friendly definitely want to try stir fry style and maybe soups/noodles in the future. I wish now I had gotten the steamer basket to put in to steam some dumplings, but I like it and hope it lasts for awhile...This hot pot was purchased so I could make oatmeal in my room. Omg was I impressed! I was not expecting it to get as hot as it does! Even on the low setting it gets pretty dang hot. After a few meals were prepared with this hot pot, I discovered the heating element Is only on the very bottom plate and since the entire inside is Teflon the heat is evenly distributed. (This is good to keep in mind if you are frying something.) I have since made steamed salmon, fried salmon, steamed asparagus, baked potatoes, brown and white rice, fried rice, eggs, ramen, grilled cheese, soup and bacon. This cute little hotpot is all you need! It’s impressive how light weight and easily transportable it is. I love how it came with two scrubbers to clean with so you don’t scratch the Teflon. This product is an amazing product, you won’t be disappointed unless you use a metal tool and scrape the bottom. My husband accidentally scraped his fork on the bottom and it tore a little hole in the Teflon but ours still is In near perfect condition still and I still use it daily. 10/10 would recommend!!I have use this product once, which was the day it was delivered 5 months ago. I made an attempt to cook rice and frozen peas, it was a fail. I ended up transferring it to a pot to finish cooking it on the stove.It's aestheticly cute, however it not practical for me. The heating power felt weak, it took a while to get hot.I definitely recommend this for your kids, niece and nephew to start them of in the kitchen. Not saying that adults can't use it, just don't expect too much.It feels like a toy and unlike those plastic (cooking and food) toys this one has I bit of life to it. It's in the realms of non-fiction and fiction.With all that being said, I still have it sitting some where in the kitchen collecting dust and I plan to give it another go. Then I'll update on my experience.So far, I've made spagetti, mac and cheese, soup, 3 different stews, bacon and eggs, pancakes, and even reheated some coffee. This is a great pot. I've used it every day since getting it. I only wish it had a very low heat for simmering, but otherwise I would not change a thing about it. I love all the little extras that came with it, and the steel steaming basket it great for frozen veggies, and fresh veggies too. I really love this pot, and the cleanup is amazing.....all it has taken so far is a paper towel to get it sparkling clean. If you have any doubts about this pot, put them to rest, buy it, and you'll see for yourself how useful it is.I've used this for stir frying, pan frying, boiling, and steaming. It works well, heats up fast, very easy to clean, and I absolutely appreciate the ladles, spatula, and the mini bowl it came with. My only complaint is that the shell is made of plastic. Otherwise, everything else is fine.It heats up very quickly. But the heat is only in the middle of the pot. And the “Teflon” got a scratch after the first use with the wooden spoon!Es muy bonita, tal cual la imagen. Llegó antes de lo esperado, calienta muy rápido. Cociné 2 tazas de arroz y salió muy bien. Easy to clean.My son loves cooking his instant noodles in it and it takes less than 5 mins to cook.
