I have had the guitar for almost a week now. Everything still works. It was all setup and I just tuned it up and started to play. Fit and finish was good. It took a while to get used to the settings for the EQ. Although the electronics are cheep, they sound OK. The neck pickup sounds the best. The only fault that I have is the cheep tuners. I've ordered a set of better tuners and when I change them I'll also install new set of strings. It's a keeper.Honestly, I don’t think Donner could’ve given you too much more guitar for this price; at sub-$200, this thing feels built to last any beginner well into their intermediate years w/out anything beyond a basic setup from a local guitar store.I had read reviews saying the tuners were jumpy, but I have zero issues w mine; for reference, I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years, owning a Gibson, a PRS, and a handful of Fenders and Squiers.I am planning on upgrading the humbuckers- and after that, I’d honestly feel comfortable gigging w this instrument.Right out of the box the guitar looked great, the finish was perfect, just the whole look of the guitar was awesome, but when i plugged it in to my amp it had a really loud and annoying buzz. After looking at YouTube and having experienced putting together a few guitars I knew it had to be a grounding issue. Sure enough the ground that was supposed to be attached to the bridge. wasn't. I did try to contact the seller and Amazon, that seemed to be a hassle, so I took the guitar apart and reattached the ground myself, not what I wanted to do on a brand new guitar. So QC missed this one, but I really like the guitar, despite the initial problem...I purchased this for myself. The Les Paul shape is what drew me to the guitar and I was not disappointed when it arrived. The guitar was packaged well, and plays and sounds great. It is set up almost perfectly out of the box, I raised my pickups a touch, but just based off preference. The guitar sounded fine out of the box. After about a week of regular use, however, the audio from the 1/4” output jack began to cut out. As an electronics repair specialist by trade, I was able to solder a new (upgraded) TrueTone output jack to the guitar without issue, but I have to take a star away for the faulty jack. I also picked up a set of black knobs and a black switch, just to make it mine. Overall, I have put about 100 hours on this guitar since I received it, and I am very happy. I would recommend this guitar for anyone looking for the iconic LP shape, without the iconic LP price tag.Guitar plays really well for the price, but ordered the black model TWICE and got the Sunburst instead TWICE!!!Either they’re out of black but don’t want to communicate that, they don’t care or someone in the warehouse picking the orders needs to WAKE UP!!!! Great sounding guitar but can I get what I ordered for the love of CROM??????I typically play a Strat. I bought this guitar to try something new. Honestly, I LOVE this guitar. It feels good to play, it sounds great. I have played it much more than my Strat since it arrived. Here are my concerns with this guitar. There were problems out of the gate. I had to lower the action; not a big deal, but if you don't know what you are doing, you may have an issue with this. The frets were not sanded down along the edges. Again, not a big deal. I had to change strings and do a little filing before restringing. The final problem was the tone knob was loose making it feel like it didn't work correctly. To sum it up, if I was afraid of setting up my own guitar, and didn't want to spend money to have it set up, I would be disappointed. With that being said, after making the minor fixes, I absolutely LOVE this guitar.Nothing not to like about this..I keep saying no more guitars but then I spotted this and I am very happy I got one but tbh I had preferred it in another colour but this sunburnt skin is totally fine. The guitar is excellent. Its way over par for the pricetag I would say. I recommend this warmly to anyone starting out. Its cheap and very good value for money. I would say that stupidly expensive guitars are just like overkill, for anyone .. Its basically like selling uhd videos that no one can see on their ordinary monitors.. This seriously is a serious piece of kit you will go long with this guitar. Just buy it, the only thing I personally regret is not getting it a lot earlier!Great guitar, I absolutely love it. I couldn't afford a Les Paul but this is as close as you will get without spending the extra money. The action is low which makes it a joy to play and has good quality pick ups.Only really played acoustic so this was the perfect next step. No experience on how it should sound next to more expensive ones but really like this guitar. It comes with a better cable than my rubber ones a nice guitar strap and a really good padded bag, it's not just a guitar cover it has some protection. Set up was easy, tuned it in and played. I have a small Donner amp also and switched between clean and distortion and it sounds great. Well done Donner.Beautiful! Beautiful looking guitar.Plays great, great quality, decent strings and like I say, it's just a beautiful guitar.Flick switch for treble and rythme, volume controls etc..Works great with the mini Donner amp too which is great value. For the price I haven't found many better than this
