I really love this bike, however, I think you should know, before buying, that the motor is underpowered if you're a big dude like me. It's great for getting around town, and the battery will get you around 15-20 miles, depending on your weight. I'm a bit heavy, so it's closer to 15 than 20 for me. It also isn't taking you up any really steep inclines, even at the maximum assistance.I had to remove the front brake, because it didn't quite fit right, and there was no instructions on how to adjust it. It was causing a lot of excess friction, which slowed the entire bike down.I'd also recommend going over all the nuts and screws when it gets to you, because all of mine were loose. The instructions are also unclear on how to turn it from assisted pedaling to full motor. The instructions tell you to hold the - button until all the lights turn off. In truth, that just spins the back wheel very slowly. What you need to do is just press the - button again after setting it to low power assist.Honestly, when you buy low priced stuff like this, you expect a few issues. I'm grateful that all of the issues I've mentioned above are either trivial, or easy to fix on your own.OH, this isn't mentioned, but if you don't have tools to assemble it, they send along a cheap-but-functional tool kit. I'd advise you to carry this with you on your first couple of rides, so you can tighten stuff down as you discover what's loose. We really like these bicycles. The components are low grade but I would not expect better because the bikes are low price also. Not a good product for someone without a little mechanica ability. Assembly out of the box was not simple yet simple for someone with tools and know-how. l will replace the disc brakes with better ones for our two bicycles in the very near future. Fun bicycles to ride and they don't have the "cheesy" look of most other electric bikes.I found the assist-mode (low) to be the perfect compromise. I can ride as I would on any bike, and about the time I feel discomfort (I have some nerve damage in one lower leg) the assist kicks in and I bike like I used to prior to the nerve damage I have. This bike has put me back on the road biking again. <3The bike can also be ridden without pedaling at all with the assist off, and the use of the hand operated “throttle” if you like. The use of the assist gets me 18+ miles on a charge, enough for a relaxing weekend without having to recharge.I bought my E-Bike to get some sort of exercise other than walking with my bad knees. It took a couple weeks for it to arrive. There was some assembly required. I had a small wiring issue in the controller box. Customer Service wasn't the fastest. After that issue was resolved it was self explanatory after that. I use it almost everyday. I have finally learned how to use everything on it. I use all three power modes when I ride. I do charge the battery typically after two rides or about every 20 miles. It has been working great so far and I'm pretty happy with it. I would gladly recommend this bike.I couldn't believe you could get such a great E bike for such a reasonable price. I got this one for my hubby - he picked it out. I was dubious as my own E bike cost three grand. But he really loves it. Only had it a week but he has already ridden it for miles. It's pretty neat how easily it folds up, too.I bought this as my entry to ebikes and I love it! Assembly was not difficult, charging the battery and connecting to the bike is super easy. The battery life is excellent, the pedel assist is so much fun! I have only had it a few weeks and still getting to know it. I am 64!I plan on getting one for my husband and grandsons! I see long biking trails in our future!Easy to put together. Ride it quite often for 1-2 hours at a time. Folding it is easy for transport. Wish I had found it sooner in life!Bike was packaged well and easy to assemble. The ride is smooth and the electric functions also work very well and the bike speeds up at a quick rate. Overall great quality and build.
